Top highlights from Amazon Business Reshape 2024

As we reflect on the most memorable moments from our time in Dallas, we’re already looking forward to Amazon Business Reshape 2025 in Seattle.

Amazon Business Reshape 2024 is officially under wraps. Our time together in Dallas with customers, partners, and other industry leaders was a whirlwind of learning, networking, innovation, and fun.

Amazon Business Reshape provides a unique backdrop for industry professionals to connect face-to-face, exchange best practices, spark new ideas, and explore solutions that can drive organizational growth—and this year’s conference was no exception. We’re proud to have brought together over 1100 business leaders and procurement professionals to share strategies and success stories.

As we reflect on the most memorable moments from Amazon Business Reshape 2024, here’s what stands out:

  1.  Hearing success stories from Amazon Business customers
Learning from industry peers is perhaps the biggest benefit of attending Amazon Business Reshape, whether that’s during a session, at a networking event, or over coffee at breakfast. Thank you to all of our customers who made time to be with us in Dallas and share your perspectives on the future of procurement.

This year, we heard from several procurement leaders during our general session as well. For example, Phil Saylor of Aramark, a leading provider of food and facilities services, shared how he went from being an Amazon Business-skeptic to leveraging our solutions to implement purchasing controls, simplify buying for end users, and ultimately control significant tail spend in the course of a year. It’s stories like these that demonstrate the real-world impact of innovative procurement strategies and emphasize the power of strategic partnerships in driving transformation.

  2. Emmitt Smith on our biggest stage
We were lucky enough to welcome legendary Dallas Cowboys running back, Dancing with the Stars champion, and entrepreneur, Emmitt Smith, to close out Amazon Business Reshape 2024.

In a conversation with Carmen Palo, Amazon Business’ Director of Marketing, Emmitt shared lessons learned during his football career that have been instrumental to his business success, including the importance of mastering fundamentals, staying competitive, and finding the right mentors. He also shared insights from his recent foray into the restaurant business with the launch of his namesake steakhouse, Emmitt’s Vegas. His advice for business leaders of all industries? Providing an excellent customer experience is the most important ingredient for success.

  3. Rebecca Patterson’s economic analysis
Economic and financial markets expert Rebecca Patterson returned to Amazon Business Reshape for the second year in a row. Rebecca reflected on how the economic predictions she shared with us last November played out and outlined key macroeconomic considerations we should all be aware of as we plan for 2025.

It’s amazing to have familiar voices like Rebecca’s join us each year. As we start to plan for our 2025 lineup, what are some of the sessions or speakers you’d like to hear from again?

  4. Networking in the Connections Hub
This year's connection hub was bustling from open to close. The Amazon delivery truck and Amazon Business Restock vending machines were highlights, but the real draw was the relationship-building between customers, partners, and sponsors.

Our Dive Deep Desk specialists and subject matter experts answered attendee questions and offered support, while our partners and sponsors like Bic and Jabil showcased their latest offerings. We all left with new knowledge and new connections to keep pushing procurement forward—and maybe even a new headshot.

  5. The musical guests
We’d be remiss if we didn’t shout out our musical guests that greeted us in the morning, and kept the party going into the evening. DJ Dawn got us ready to learn and engage each morning as part of our general session. Then DJ 13LACKBEARD got the Sheraton rocking during happy hour with dance music remixes, which you can also hear during his pre-game shows for the Dallas Cowboys and on tour as the opening act for artists like Snoop Dogg, Nelly, and Beyoncé.

Of course, a highlight was when GRAMMY- and Academy Award-nominated rock band Counting Crows took the stage for an intimate concert that featured their classic hits like “Hanginaround” and “Big Yellow Taxi.”
