To help customers build their ideal business buying experiences, Amazon Business offers a suite of e-procurement integrations including Punch-in, which allows buyers to start their journey on the Amazon Business website, then punch into their e-procurement system for checkout. Punch-in is now available for select SAP Ariba US shared customers, expanding to all shared US customers by June 2025. SAP Ariba continues to offer Punchout, Integrated Search, and e-invoicing integrations as well.
The Amazon Business Punch-in integration with SAP Ariba can help business buyers take advantage of the familiar Amazon shopping experience, initiating their shopping experience on Amazon Business website. When buyers are ready to submit their order for approval, they submit their cart by punching into the SAP Ariba procurement system, which ensures proper approval workflows and spend protocols are in place before processing.
Punch-in can help organizations simplify their buying, increase compliance, and improve spend visibility. This can collectively help customers reduce rogue spend.
“Amazon Business Punch-in with SAP Ariba gives our business buyers another convenient workflow option. It allows them to start their buying journey in the Amazon Business store, helps ensure compliance as they're making purchases, and creates a purchase order in our SAP Ariba system. This not only cuts down on the number of clicks, making the overall buying process simpler and faster, but it also means they don't have to constantly switch back and forth between their web browser and other systems. That gives them more time to focus on strategic, value-add work,” said Matt Scaum, Global Commodity Manager, Siemens Gamesa.
To set up Punch-in with SAP Ariba, customers need to have Punchout enabled first. Customers can work with their Amazon Business Customer Advisor to activate Punch-in.
Punch-in is compatible with Single Sign-on and the Amazon Business mobile app.
“Punch-in integration with SAP Ariba provides our mutual customers another way to customize their buying experiences on Amazon Business. We continue to deepen our relationship and our integrations with SAP Ariba to delight our customers with smart business buying journeys,” said Mobeen Khan, Amazon Business Director of Business Development and Global Partnerships.
